Request for Proposals (RFP) for Arts Education Field Trips and On-Campus Programs

Overview: Brown Elementary School, under the leadership of Dr. Janice Drake, Principal, seeks proposals for arts education field trips and on-campus arts programs for the 2024-2025 school year. Our objective is to enhance the educational experience of our 4th and 5th grade students through immersive arts experiences both off-campus and on-campus. Brown Elementary School is committed to providing our students with high-quality educational experiences through the arts and looks forward to partnering with organizations that share our dedication. Proposals can address either Section 1 or Section 2 below, or both.
Section 1: On-Campus Arts Education Programs
Scope of Services: Seeking partners in theatre, dance, or creative writing to create and document measurable student growth in expression and English Language Arts (ELA) abilities. Programs should create experiences that foster self-awareness, identity understanding, and meaningful communication. Programs should align with Alabama Course of Study standards in ELA Writing for 4th and 5th grade. Multi-week programs can run between September 2024 to before March 14, 2025. Acceptable formats: artist residencies, after-school programs, in-school performances, workshops, etc. Flexibility and ability to succeed despite evolving school needs are highly desired.
Budget: Accepting proposals in amounts ranging from $0 to $10,000. Requests for the full amount are expected to be multi-week programs.
Proposal Requirements: Detailed program description, including educational objectives and activities. Schedule and duration of the program. Evidence of alignment with ELA Writing standards. Section 2: Arts Education Field Trips
Scope of Services: Provide engaging and educational arts experiences suitable for 4th and 5th grade students. Field trips should include interactive components, such as workshops, tours, or hands-on activities. Align with educational standards and curriculum goals in the arts. Schedule: field trips will take place in December 2024 and in May 2025.
Budget: $500 per trip, covering all expenses including admission fees, materials, and any other costs for appx. 40 students.
Proposal Requirements: Detailed description of the proposed field trip, including activities and educational objectives. Schedule and duration of the trip. Breakdown of costs to ensure the total does not exceed the $500 budget per trip. Qualifications and experience of the organization in providing arts education to elementary students. Submission Deadline: Proposals for both parts must be submitted by July 17, 2024, at bhmturnaroundarts.app. Proposals received after the deadline are not guaranteed to be reviewed.
